What we do

Our programmes

All of our community programmes are free. They are delivered in tribal hamlets, schools, colleges and community halls across The Nilgiris and Salem districts.

Toda community yoga session

Yoga for Adivasi Welfare

Our flagship programme brings free yoga training to tribal women and girls. So far we have taught yoga to about 1,000 women in around 20 tribal villages and to 3,000+ girl students in about 15 tribal schools and colleges, with repeated follow-up visits.

Communities reached include the Toda (Tharnad, Living, Muthunad Munds), Kota (Thirichigadi, Kollimalai), Kurumba and Baduga communities. The programme has formal permission from the Government of Tamil Nadu Tribal Welfare Department.

Structured yoga for students aged 5 and above in tribal schools such as Mavanalla, Thirichigadi, Karikiyur, Bokkapuram, Anaikatty, Valaithottam, Sholurmattam, Kunjapanai and Mettukkal, and at the National Tribal School.
